This morning we have a current temperature of 44 at 8200 feet with a 41 up at the top of Mammoth Mountain with a 49 up in the Lakes Basin at Pokonobe Lodge.

Snow showers are expected to develop late this afternoon and into the evening including a chance for thunderstorm. There is a chance that flurries could linger overnight before snow showers increase again during the day tomorrow with a couple inches of accumulation possible by Wednesday evening when the showers end.

5-19-2016 – 6:44 AM – Good morning from Mammoth Lakes, the window-cast shows pt. cloudy skies at this time. For today we have a wind advisory, winds with be SW to W 20-35 MPH with gusts 45-65+ MPH today.
As of this post I have a 49 here at the cabin and we have a 33 up top and it’s 41 at the Main Lodge. Winds at this time are out of the SW to 65+ over the upper elevations with winds gusting to 15-30 MPH here in town.
This weekend we have a major cooling trend on the way with snow showers and thunder storms in the forecast into next week.
