Hey Snowman here with you… It’s March 9th, 2015 at 10:30AM.
On Sunday we had a high of 61 on my deck here at 8200 feet, we also had some very hazy sunshine.
The air looked very dirty as you looked off towards the whites.
Over the past couple yeas that has meant dust and smog from China has made it all the way across the pacific into the Owens Valley. All that should clear out in the next 24 hours.
3-9-2015 11AM – Thanks for stopping, by the window cast shows clear skies over Mammoth Mountain at this time.
Snow Shots from 3-2-2015
Today we are expecting highs into the 40s at the ski area with upper 50s down in town. Night time lows continue to be in the 20s, with NE winds today peaking at 60MPH over the top of Mammoth Mountain.
If you’re coming up for mid week, we should have increasing SW winds on Tuesday with a chance of some snow Wednesday, with clearing on Thursday. Only expecting 1-2 new inches of wet snow on Mammoth Mountain from this weak pacific storm system.
